The First Salvador Allende Arts Festival for Peace
was organized between June and August of 2003.

It was a one-day event that took place on Saturday, September 6, at the Great Hall (Queen and Dovercourt) in Toronto and began with an opening ceremony by Fernando Hernández and Tamara Toledo.

It was followed by the Art Exhibit opening at 5 p.m., in which 16 local Latin American artists exhibited their work ranging from photography to installation and video.

The Concert began at 8 p.m. with the participation of 18 performance artists from various disciplines and communities.

Approximately 500 people attended the Festival in 2003. This year we hope to double the numbers.
